Profile: Lea Belair

Lea Belair is a thought leader in the evolution of consciousness. As an author, visionary in the coaching profession, and master of meditation, Lea inspires audiences big and small to expand their awareness, thrive in change, and lead from the future.
In 1985 Lea took the first of seven trips to India to study with the meditation masters of the Himalayas. She holds a Certificate in Advanced Studies in Yog Science, Vedant Philosophy and the Theory and Practice of Meditation from the International Meditation Institute in Kullu, India and a Master of Meditation degree from the World Development Parliament in West Bengal, India.
In the 1990s, Lea went on to become a Certified Hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner. She owned and operated Y.E.S. Hypnosis in Littleton, New Hampshire. During this period, she also co-founded and served as Managing Editor for the New Age Publication Earth Star Press, which was widely distributed throughout New England. At the end of the decade, Lea formed Focus for Discovery Training Forums, delivering innovative and experiential learning programs in 'solution-solving'. Addressing the challenges of stress management, change management, and leadership, she worked with a variety of large and small businesses and organizations including the University of New Hampshire and the State of Vermont.
Lea recently merged her latest business, Leap Coaching, LLC, with the Coaching Center of Vermont, Inc., becoming a partner in a bricks and mortar coaching collaborative. With Lea's leadership, the Coaching Center of Vermont is launching the Worldwide Coaching Center, a virtual portal to host conversations among corporations, thought leaders and academics ready to take their next steps in change. Lea is also a Visionary Coach for the Mastering Change classes at CoachVille, the world's largest online coaching organization, where she regularly teaches classes using material based on her book Walk on Water: How to Make Change Easier. She is faculty for Coach U and the University of Vermont's Vermont Business Center.
As an award winning speaker, Lea gets audiences up on their feet and experimenting in "Thriving in Change". She was a regular speaker at the National Guild of Hypnotists conventions in the ‘90s and more recently has engaged packed audiences at the 2006 Annual CoachVille Conference in Chicago and at the 2008 International Coach Federation regional conference in Waltham, MA.
Lea's method of Awareness Based Coaching, paired with her experience in life and business and her deep grounding in spirituality, encourage listeners to change their perspective and thrive in uncertain times.
