Karly Randolph Pitman is the creator of growing human(kind)ness, a compassionate approach to healing addictive and compulsive patterns with food. Growing human(kind)ness arose from her personal journey of healing over 20 years of binge eating, compulsive dieting and sugar addiction and from coaching others out of food suffering.

She's the author of Becoming Binge Free, Overcoming Sugar Addiction and Heal Overeating: Untangled. She's also the founder of First Ourselves, a community of women healing from food and weight stuff, where she leads a compassion based support group for women.

Karly's appeared in two films, The Inner Weigh (2011) and the upcoming documentary, Sugar Addiction (2012), and speaks to women's groups, universities, corporations, churches, and health clubs across the country. Her work has been featured on Yahoo, Yahoo Shine, Belief Net and The Huffington Post. She lives with her family in Austin, Texas.
